Tanzania Private Sector Foundation in collaboration with the University of Dar es Salaam Business School –Centre for Policy Research and Advocacy (UDBS-CPRA) and BEST- Dialogue have developed an online library also known as a repository to bridge the existing business environment information gap.

Branded as  Business Insight Tanzania  (Insighttz) the repository contains business environment data such as research and academic papers, assessment, survey, evaluation and study reports, and information from different learned field implementation, programme courses, newspapers, presentations, policies, laws, regulations, books, video and audio clip.

The aim of the repository is to make business environment information easily available and accessible for people especially those with a role in the development and improvement of business environment in Tanzania. The repository will serve as one stop online information hub where stakeholders will reach out for reliable business and investment information and data.

The desire of establishing the repository emanates from the fact that many previously conducted researches and studies have been kept on shelves, making it difficult to be accessed by majority.

BEST-Dialogue (previously BEST AC) for example has supported Private Sector Organizations (PSOs) for the past fifteen years in carrying out quality research, advocacy and dialogue with the Government on issues relating to the improvement of the business environment and the investment climate in Tanzania. This has generated a huge wealth of knowledge and a large body of data (e.g. research reports, policy position papers and factsheets), all these information are available on individual PSO.

Therefore TPSF, UDBS-CPRA and BEST-D have taken the initiative to make a collection of all the knowledge generated and make it easily accessible through the repository. The repository can be accessed via the following link
